BELT TABBED PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Frostburg
State senior center Jade Belt (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall) was
named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of
the Week for the first time this season after recording
back-to-back double-doubles to close out the regular season.
Belt ended his collegiate career on a high note, leading the
Bobcats (9-16, 8-10) to a pair of conference wins by
contributing 19.0 ppg and 11.5 rpg for the week. On the road
against Mount Aloysius, the senior made a season-high 13 field
goals to score 27 points along with 14 boards in leading FSU
to the 95-78 win.
In his final apperance at Bobcat Arena, Belt would close out
his career with 11 points and 10 rebounds in an upset win
against defending AMCC Champion Lake Erie.
Belt also finishes the year as the Bobcats' statistical leader
in six categories, including scoring (15.1 ppg) and rebounds
(8.5 rpg).
